Shopping Experience: I have owned this model for several years and we run it all the time. It works really really well. Also, this unit is the quietest I have ever (not) heard! I have to go all the way down into the cellar to see if it is still running or if it has stopped and needs to be emptied and we don't run it on the quietest setting. During most humid summer days we were able to use it in the bedroom all night even though my husband is super sound sensitive. We have both been impressed. I am just now setting it up to drain into the sump pump hole so thought I'd come back here and comment. The only downside (which is nothing compared to its upsides) is if you are going to drain it manually as we have been, you are best off pouring the water from the tank into a bucket and then taking the bucket to empty it. The tank is a little awkward to carry when full and it's easy to spill when carrying or pouring until you get the hang of it. Just follow the directions and look carefully at the diagram in the owner's manual and you'll be very happy with this amazing machine.
